Jerry John Rawlings has stated that greed among some party members led to their loss in the 2016 general elections. He claimed corruption increased to insane levels under John Mahama and accused them of departing from the values of probity and accountability which formed the basis under which the party was formed. According to him, it was mainly because of the corruption that the NDC lost power to the governing New Patriotic Party.

This indiscipline old foolish hooligan is an old cargo and should be treated as such! He promised to offer Paradise to fool the gullible ghanaians to vote for him. But after winning power he is giving them hell yet he won't keep quiet and bow his head in shame but increasing his promises. The most irritating scenario is his continuous promises instead of delivery. Well, let him continue to promise till the end of 4yrs and even when he lose the election he Well continue to promise. Maybe it's the cocaine that is giving him the hallucinations to keep on promise.
