Nope! Muntaka used that phrase wrongly. Let's not find excuse for him. But, he could have been right in usage if he had added the qualifier "near" to "fatal accident, thus "near fatal accident", even though judging from just the dent and scratches sustained on the car, it'd be an exaggeration. If the car was a total wreck, and he "miraculously" survived, then yes, perfectly correct.

"Fatal accident" is a phrase to connote an accident causing or likely to have caused death.

Anyway, I noticed that he thanked Allah profusely for saving his life. I wonder why Allah should save the life of a weasel like that and be killing so many more decent people on our roads? Or, is it Lucifer that's killing them?

We thank the Lord for his safety. Let me take this opportunity and share with you a few thoughts based on the numerous comments, I have read so far.

It is important for one to come to the Salvation knowledge of God, and act or observe the commandments that the Lord has instructed.

God has given us Eternal Life and that Eternal Life is in Christ Jesus, the SON of the Living God(The Covenant God of Israel).

All the Jewish Prophets wrote about Christ, in the form of prophecies. Indeed, what inspires prophesying is the bearing witness to Christ Jesus.

The creator of the universe gave the first prophecy concerning the SON, after the fall of man(See GENESIS 3).

The Father is distinct from the SON, yet essentially the same, with regards to our worshiping God. This is because Father is in the SON, and the SON is in the Father, according our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, one cannot create a mental distinction between the Father and the Son, during our worship of God. Our Lord says, whatever we do we should do it in his NAME, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. In other words it pleases the Father that his fullness dwells in Christ. So the Father and the Son do not compete, but harmoniously God has set the records straight that you do not know him, not until you know Christ, for it is Christ who reveals the Father to the individual. Christ emphatically said that men may honor him even as the they honor the Father. And that whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

The Father has used his Son as sacrifice to reconcile humanity to himself, so that whoever believes in him(the SON) shall not perish but have Eternal Life. It is the acknowledgement of the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and acting on his commandment to repent and get baptized in the NAME(NOT NAMES) of the Father and of the SON and of the Holy Ghost that puts you on a path of salvation.

Yes, because there is no other name given under the heavens that we can be saved, except for the name of the SON of God. The Son is the doorway to God, and whoever tries to come to the Father, by any other means, is a thief, according Jesus Christ. Let God be found TRUTHFUL, and all men lairs.

Who really then is Jesus Christ? In the opening book of the Bible, it is written "In the beginning God created the heavens and the Earth". In the NT John the beloved wrote "In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God and WORD was God". This very sentence gives us something to ponder about who Christ is. At least, you can settle in your heart that there is no way, you can talk about Father without talking about the SON.

The scriptures continues,"it was he who was in the beginning with God, ALL things were created through him, and there was nothing that was created without him. In him was Life and that Life was the Light of men. Light shines in darkness, and darkness has no power over it"

Paul wrote to the Jews(and for us all) that Christ has come so that we may no God better. In John 17(I love this Chapter), our Lord Jesus said "the world do not you,Father, and I have come in your name, the name that you gave me that they may know you". Our Lord further prayed to the Father to be glorified with glory that he had alongside with the Father. The Father responded by saying "I have glorified you already, and I will glory you again"

In Scriptures, Christ is the power of God, He is the wisdom of God. In the book of Hebrews, God speaks of him as the heavens being the works of his(Christ) hand, and in that same book he is exclaimed as God. Indeed the riches of Christ is unsearchable.

Titles ascribed to God in the old testament, prophetically, were all about Christ. Our Lord opened the eyes of the believers, after his resurrection, referring to the scriptures that all things written about him by Moses, the Psalmist and the Prophets have come to pass.

In the OT, you can say that all things written were about the promises of God, or the Prophesies about Jesus Christ. In the book of REV. It is written that all the promises of God has become YE and AMEN through Christ Jesus.

Salvation is an individual decision. Our Lord Jesus says "No one can come to the SON except that Father draws that person to HIM". And God does so by the power of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgement.

God, the one who covenanted with the Jews has given us a mandate regarding how HE should be worshiped, by receiving Christ as our personal savior.

All authority in Heaven and on Earth has been vested in him. He is the one who is rewarding believers, and he has warned that he will not make known any one to the Father, if that individual has not made his name(Jesus Christ) to people on Earth.

Why Mohammed's name don't appear in the Bible and ask yourself where was Islam when the Messiah was performing wonders to proove he is real son of the almighty God, and don't confuse yourself and know that the Allah you serve is the same God Christians serve and Christianity is hundreds of years older than Islam. Most of what is in Koran is from the Christian Bible, so you should know where your Koran you read is coming from. For those who don't know must know from today that Muslims don't compare or consider Allah to be Muhammad or vice versa.
Whenever a muslim says Allah, he /she means The Almighty God, and he/she means Prophet Muhammad he/she refers the one and only final messenger of the Supreme Being.
So when it comes to Allah (SWT) and Prophet Muhammad in lslam, we always call a spade a spade, which means we try to put each of Them at Their rightful places.

I am very surprised that so many so-called educated men and women in Ghana use English words wrongly. Recently during the mob attack on the late Major Mahama we started hearing words like mob injustice. Even well placed people including radio presenters, political commentators etc were saying mob injustice. Just this morning I read that Hon Muntaka had a fatal accident. I am sorry that lots of our country men and women are becoming lazy and as a result they use words without checking on their correctness. When we say there was a fatal accident, it simply means that a life was lost in that accident. If no life is lost in an accident it can't be described as fatal. I heard that famous writer and educationist Mr Gyasi also correcting the mob injustice as MOB JUSTICE. I wish to appeal to all Ghanaians that if you know you can't express yourself well in English feel free and speak the language in which you can better express yourself. This advice goes to public officers including ministers, MPs, Pastors etc. I am always appalled by the way some of our country men and women crucify the Engish language. It's so pathetic.
