Jerry John Rawlings has stated that greed among some party members led to their loss in the 2016 general elections. He claimed corruption increased to insane levels under John Mahama and accused them of departing from the values of probity and accountability which formed the basis under which the party was formed. According to him, it was mainly because of the corruption that the NDC lost power to the governing New Patriotic Party.

The founder should also examine himself from his junior military days and see whether he has been upright all through his life.Today he has cowed everybody into submission and wants his word to by ye and amen.Master you have paid your due,be a stateman and don't be an assistant "God"I understand your frustrations,becuase the beautiful laws of the land are not working and so everybody is doing what he likes.However you are no better than any of the people u are accusing.Remeber the bibical quote,"ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD"Roms 3:23
