Why are Arabs so evil? Arabs are against Jews and when the Jews rose up against them they are now calling on other non-Arab Muslims to help them fight the Jews. They did the same thing to the Kurds who are Sunni Muslims and when the Kurds raised heavy resistance against them, Arabs formed ISIS to slaughter and enslave Kurdish and Yazidi women and children. What is wrong with these Arabs who have no respect for the black race. Look at how Arabs are enslaving and maiming Ghanaian and Black African women. It is now time for Black Africans to rally support for the Jewish and Kurdish States in the Middle East. These are the only two groups in the Middle East who have respect for human life. Arabs are too Barbaric.

When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

Tarzan is making a good point but he had done it in the most irresponsible and heartless manner. he should look at his fingers and tell me that they are all the same. The fact is the way and manner Major Mahama was killed was what swept the emotions of all who had feelings to act in a particular way. I did not know this gentleman but I wept as if he was my immediate uterine brother. He was shot, clubbed, and stoned to death. And not only that, there was the attempt to burn his body. Tarzan even though somebody once said all die be die, this type of death was the most dehumanizing and depicted some of us as a people whose base instincts could be easily provoked. We were lucky to have seen the whole acts live via social media and so it is hugely wrong for Tarzan to say the press cajoled the president to do whatever he did. What Tarzan might viciously succeed in doing is that he has thrown a spanner into the enthusiasm which would have associated the various contributions to the Trust Fund set up for this Major. Tarzan this is not fair!

I agree very much with you. The circumstances leading to Major Mahama's demise were very dehumanizing. The media covered it, resulting in the appropriate outrage, and the president acted as the Commander In Chief of his troops. Our peace officers and their families don't have to feel like sheep, thrown to pack of wolves, when on national assignment.
Tarzan has held very high positions in this country before. Tarzan is one of the few Ghanaians who can get a call to the Presidency. If Tarzan feels he has record of some cases that deserve equal attention, all well and good.
However, the outrage can only start from somewhere to bring these barbaric behavior to an end. The president is not going to appear at every gathering. The question becomes; is Tarzan really trying to be a part of the solution to these problems or just another press happy guy out to score points.

Masa, may be you borrowed my tongue. As to when barbaric attacks on army officers started and did not get attention is no substance. What is substantial is that nana addo acted swiftly to send the right signal to perpetrators out there. Nana addo STARTED to do what is right. Many Ghanaians died ruthlessly in the struggle for independence. Nkrumah was a later day saint. Who else is more remembered since God's creation of Ghana than Nkrumah? Tarzan raced on the wrong lane and got zero point. I add that, his view suffered stillbirth.

Relate this to the molestation of the Kejetia lady thief
And contrast the two with the killing of the police officer and the old lady in Upper East as well as the lynching of the phone thief at Mbrom (or somewhere at Kumasi at he same time of the Major's death).
Surely, the power of social media made the difference more than the political/social connections of the late Major.

It is a complex issue; what about all the others who were lynched in the past? DO you go back and compensate them? The answer is NO!
There are people who take the lime life gives them and make lemonade out of them. The families of the victims of the past could have lobbied parliament to create laws that will protect others in the future; they could have worked the numerous radio stations to publicize and educate the Ghanaian population about this cancer of lynching? These and many other initiatives could have generated the recognition (and money of course) they so desired. They chose not to and preferred to mourn their loved ones quietly; that is honorable and there is nothing wrong with it.
Mahama's death has generated the awareness these others couldn't create; it is good for all of us who would have fallen victims to lynching in the future. Let's focus on how we can build on this momentum and make sure law makers and law enforcement are doing their jobs so that this doesn't happen to another human being in the future. Akuffo-Addo did not yield; Ghanaians won! Akuffo-Addo, parliament, and law enforcement must wake up and start working to prevent another such mess.

Point taken. Dr. Charles Wireko-Brobbey is absolutely right to condemn the Ghanaian media for neglecting personnel of the other security agencies who are killed in the line of duty.
Perhaps the best thing to do in the circumstances, is to set up a fund for all such servicemen and women killed whiles serving the nation, for disbursement to their surviving families, going forward into the future.
And neither should Ghanaians forget the many Forestry Commission officials murdered in cold blood by illegal loggers working for illegal gold miners who use proceeds from bush-cut chainsaw lumber to fund their galamsey operations.
Bravo to Dr. Charles Wireko-Brobbey. He has done the right thing. Now it is: "Over to you, Joe Lartey, Ghanaian media!"

I'm surprised at the comparison. Soldiers die every now and then in the line of duty and no one ever hears about them. However, Major Mahama's death was exceptional, especially with the virtual social media coverage of his brutal killing. What we must learn is that in life it takes only one event to bring attention and closure of raging events/issues. Let all those making the unreasonable comparisons check from the military and they will get the statistics of soldiers who have died in the line of duty on the blind side of the public and media. Please, let's be reasonable, and stop these infantile comparisons. Mahama's death has raised so many issues and brought to the front burner the issues of mob activities which have been with us all these years. That is the difference. Wreko Brobbey must come again!!!

Tarzan is not being fair to President Akuffo Addo, as the two cases are not the same.
If I may ask Tarzan, how many soldiers who die on peace keeping duties are promoted and honoured. What we need to understand as a nation is that, the way and barbaric nature the young military officer was killed coupled with the fact that everything was captured and broadcasted on social media makes it imperative for the president to do what he did. Moreover, I do know for sure that there are compensation packages for all service pesonnel who loose their lives in the course of performing their duties.

Dr Wireko Brobbey there have been several deaths of soldiers while on duty call but none received the approach the late Major Mahama had. Soldiers died in the North conflicts, Liberia, Lebanon, Sierra Leone and what have you, yet not even a 'cough' has been heard because it's part and parcel of the Army code of conduct.
The manner the Late Major Mahama was killed drew the sympathy of the whole nation towards his family especially his wife Babara and kids hence the government intervention to soothe the Army and prevent a national security crisis.
It's good Tarzan is leading the crusade for the fallen policeman but should be a bit circumspect when doing the comparism.

I think Tarzan is right this time round. The media hyped the unfortunate death of Major Mahama. Other military and police officers died inline of duty, but never accorded the same media hype and state burial.
Major Mahama's death was unprofessional. He was killed like a fowl because of his unprofessional conduct. And the root cause of this was that he was pampered and received preferential treatment when his Uncle, John Mahama, was president. He was untouchable because his uncle was the president.
I suspect the so called Chinese mining company doing illegal mining in our forest reserve was a joint venture between the Mahama family and the Chinese company.
Being family business, Captain Mahama was appointed by the powers that be under the NDC government to lead the military detachment to supervise the illegal mining at Denkyira Boase.
I've led soldiers in anti - illegal mining operations in four mining companies in Ghana, and I can vouchsafe that his approach to the circumstances leading to his death was unprofessional. There are more questions than answers.
He relegated military tactics, procedures and discipline to the background and suffered the consequences.
Properly trained soldiers don't die this way, Never!

It is sad to read and hear an elderly person like Dr. Wereko-Brobby criticizing the media and the president on the death of Major Mohama who was lynched by the entire mob of civilian Denkyera residents without any justification. No Ghanaian is happy to learn the circumstance the Police officer was killed by his mates by mistake in the cause of his duty but in comparison, one can say that such tragedy could have prevented if the police officer could have raised alarm by shouting in the air or shown the correct sign of duty well known to his comrades before he was killed. Certainly, the country and president mourn both the officers but for an elderly like Wereko-Brobby to condemn the president is irresponsible and disgrace. After all, "Book knowledge without Good character means nothing to humanity."

Totally disagree with Wereko brobbey. His comments are insensitive and heartless. One thing the media have done with the so-called irresponsible coverage of Mahama lynching is to bring to public attention once and for all the disgrace and damage lynching is bestowing on Ghana. From now onwards the law enforcement agencies will take serious action against those who lynch. So Wereko brobbey cannot blame the media. The media have done a noble job and must be commended, not denigrated as he has chosen to do.

Gimme a break! What is this heartless man talking about? Is he suggesting that Captain Maxwell Mahama should not have been given a state burial? Though both great sons of Ghana lost their lives on line of duty, the circumstances and manners of their death are different and should be treated in order of priority. Lance Corporal Robert was tragically/ accidentally shot. In the case of Maxwell Mahama, he was savagely and brutally murdered in an animalistic and dehumanizing fashion by some brutes, and barbaric savages. Couldn't Tarzan have championed his course without involving Captain Maxwell Mahama, His Excellency President Nana Akufu Addo and the press? Suggesting that Captain Maxwell Mahama not be given a state burial and lashing out at the press could only trigger a media backlash and weaken your course Tarzan. In fact, this is a senseless and weak argument coming from a renowned politician like you with a doctorate. How sensitive can we be without politicising everything in our efforts to polytrick and polyfool the masses for political cheap shots just to remain recognized, even in the midst of painful grief? Akiwumi or so, I applaud you for your post.
