This is very annoying, these wicked and self centered individuals are bent on bringing the reputation of Ghana into the dustbins. I'm suspicious even of their names. Their names sounds like Nigerian and Beninois descents: and I don't care if anybody disagrees with me or not! The police administration should direct their investigation into the history and descents of these alleged corrupt policemen. I'm suspicious that these people might have been planted into the Ghanaian police force by some selfish power brokers for a specific purpose. Both the seller of the said gold and anybody involved in this ostensibly organized crime syndicate should be arrested or be invited by the investigation team for questions. The John Mahama administration purposely stuffed the police administration with some individuals from a special lineage and made it easier for them to organize and perpetuate their dastardly acts. Ghana can't afford to head this direction anymore. I therefore ask the Akuffo- Addo administration to swiftly wrap up this investigation, and connect every dots involved in this apparent organized crime and bring the culprits to book.

Ghana suffers for these actions and inactions, because the investors go back to their home countries, and they share their experiences with other investors. Global Resources is in what known as the "extractive industry". There are investors who are interested in manufacturing of various kinds, but these investors perceive a hostile environment by the actions of our officials, such as this Global Resources episode. The question is: Why were they dealing with a company other than the Precious Minerals Marketing Company, the only entity the law specifies gold can be purchased legacy from in Ghana?

Only in Ghana will lawbreakers from foreign lands seek to tarnish the whole nation's image by adopting a strategy of blackmailing the authorities in such blatamt fashion, and get away with it - because the media won't probe their bogus claims further.

Ghanaians must demand why this company is mining gold in the Aminase forest reserve under the protection of the Ghana Armed Forces - hen it only has a prospecting license: an illegality and an infraction of the Minerals Act.

Secondly, the media must ask why they have been charged with conspiring to purchase gold with the intention of smuggling it out of Ghana - the only reason why they did not purchase it from the PMMC and were apparently purchasing gold in local currency from an unauthorised source.

Finally, the CID of the Ghana Police Service must quickly involve the FBI of the U.S. Justice Department to investigate the company's cash paper trail from Ghana to the U.S. since its establishment in Ghana.

It would appear that Ghana might have been cheated out of serious sums in export taxes by this company for some condiderable length of time.

And how does one know that their so-called assay equipment isn't bogus itself and their claims to have bought real gold weighing 13 kilos or thereabouts are not pure lies designed to build a case to successfully claim compensation unfairly from Ghana?

Finally, were it to turn out that Major Maxwell Adam Mahama died because he was sent protect these bold foreign lawbreakers mining gold illehgally in a forest reserve under the guise of carrying out exploration, then has he not "died for nothing" to use local parlance - for which reason his family must sue the GAF for billions of cedis asap? Haaba.

There is a whif of laying the grounds for preparing a case to demand compensation from Ghana for what by the sound of it is clearly fake 'gold' sold to them by a known gold scammer, in an international tribunal.

We mustn't allow them to get away with that.

Lands commission surveyors are tricking unsuspecting legitimate land owners by claiming that their properties were surveyed using the local grid, instead of the national grid, therefore, their lands are not where they say it is, and issuing the lands to their thieving friends with political connections, for bribe money.

Ghana is fast slipping into a Nation of Lawlessness and widespread criminal collusion with her Police.

From the incident that involved the current Tourism Minister in which she was accused for having duped a foreign investor in the USA to this case, many more such but less publicized cases have come and gone. Some completely, others dormant.

What keeps left behind is a deep and growing distrust of Ghanaians by potential foreign investors. And if the Government does not do something drastically about these cases, and hold its Law Enforcement Agencies fully accountable to higher expectations of due diligence and integrity, Ghana would soon be blacklisted on the International Investment Market.

We should also note that along with such dangerous frauds could come Murder, and we shouldn't wait till we begin seeing that kind of escalation.

Bunch of thieves working for the country.... But God will never let those police go free..... Correction officers now harrasing officers......
