Jerry John Rawlings has stated that greed among some party members led to their loss in the 2016 general elections. He claimed corruption increased to insane levels under John Mahama and accused them of departing from the values of probity and accountability which formed the basis under which the party was formed. According to him, it was mainly because of the corruption that the NDC lost power to the governing New Patriotic Party.

  The question is what sort of consistency was Rawlings talking about?. The answer is simple -corruption . There's no party in the history of Ghana that is more corrupt than NPP.Going down the memory lane, after the violent overthrow of Dr Kwame Nkrumah in 1966 the antecedent of NPP plunge this country into unimaginable hardship through what was known then as kalabule(corruption). Ghana was a failed state before Rawlings' AFRC and later PNDC brought back the soul of the country.One of the hallmark of Rawlings Revolution was probity and accountability which continued in to NDC1 from 1992-2000. After 2001,NPP govt under Kuffour brought back corruption . As if that was not enough NPP liaise corruption with narco business and as a result Ghana became awashed with cocaine leading to the incasiration of Amoah Boating an NPP member of parliament in USA. As a result of these twins evils Ghanaians brought NDC2 under Atta Mills who also did well by keeping corruption at bay until things went out of control.In short, what Rawlings was saying is that NPP is consistent with corruption while NDC seems to be moving away from it's core values of probity and accountability.

  Yes it is true NPP is very consistent in their everything from lies, arrogant, damaging people,insulting, upholding lawlessness and disrespecting anyone who do not follow them that way. In their minds nothing will be good in Ghana without them.You can see an NPP man miles away because of the way he talks
