Jerry John Rawlings has stated that greed among some party members led to their loss in the 2016 general elections. He claimed corruption increased to insane levels under John Mahama and accused them of departing from the values of probity and accountability which formed the basis under which the party was formed. According to him, it was mainly because of the corruption that the NDC lost power to the governing New Patriotic Party.

Prince and Co don't deceive yourselves. This Gov is the worst in the history of Ghana. How can a Gov go round sacking civil servants every where as it they don't know the difference between political appointment and civil service. Its a shame. From Rawlings through Kuffour, Mills and JDM non of them behaved this way. Look at the level of insecurity in the system and you are there fooling. 2020 is at the corner
