He claimed corruption increased to insane levels under John Mahama and accused them of departing from the values of probity and accountability which formed the basis under which the party was formed. According to him, it was mainly because of the corruption that the NDC lost power to the governing New Patriotic Party.

Mr President, fire the top hierarchy of the Department and appoint serious people to instil accountability into our national psyche. We do not have to wait for "Saint" Special Prosecutor before we can prosecute the embezzlers. EOCO, BNI and the Police are well equipped to investigate the various acts of malfeasance and prosecute the thieves who have deprived the citizens of basic needs.
I cannot comprehend the failure of successive goverments to get the Auditor - General to act to protect the public purse.
Even the Pope of Accountability did not lift a finger in this direction. Of course, the pot cannot call the kettle black. Mr President, six months is long enough period for you to show your mettle!
