Jerry John Rawlings has stated that greed among some party members led to their loss in the 2016 general elections. He claimed corruption increased to insane levels under John Mahama and accused them of departing from the values of probity and accountability which formed the basis under which the party was formed. According to him, it was mainly because of the corruption that the NDC lost power to the governing New Patriotic Party.

It's time to allow the people to elect their leaders at the district level.
This problem would not arise if they are the ones who lined up in the sun to elect whom they want.

Nana Akuffo Addo's lies are fighting back against him and probably may mark the begining of the end of his reign as a one term President as his predicesor Mahama.
