He claimed corruption increased to insane levels under John Mahama and accused them of departing from the values of probity and accountability which formed the basis under which the party was formed. According to him, it was mainly because of the corruption that the NDC lost power to the governing New Patriotic Party.

It is impossible to satisfy every party member with a new job within a short time. The president in yield to this pressure to satisfy everybody with a job may bring down his regime. How can you double the number of ministers and expect to get money to pay them along with a huge number of Government employees. He has started sacking high profile staff in state institutions and replacing them with party faithfuls to satisfy them all at once and too early. The president should better benefit the party faithfuls with a better economy for party faithfuls businesses to flourish and not salaried jobs for everyone. This conduct is already soiling the NPP government's name. Let us build Strong institutions rather strong men who will just have their into institutions to messed them. There appears to be no consistency in any institution. This one comes and things are done in one way, he leaves and things are done in another way!!! Why???

But President Akufo-Addo defended the appointment, the largest number under the Fourth Republic, saying the current challenges of the country demand the numbers to help him bring the country back on track.

Akufo Ado has really boxed himself into a very disturbing corner by promising the heaven and stars to Ghanaians when he does not have the practical skill sets to really develop this country.
