We all know that Ambassador Jon Benjamin is a government Official for her Majesty the Queen of England but there is no denying what a great positive impact he has had on our country.I don't think I call recall any foreign Official since Governor Guggisburg who has taken such a direct interest and assisted us as much.For that we will be eternally grateful.Yes there were some mistakes along the way but none grave enough to warrant any mention.He joins the ranks of Gordon Guggisburg,Macarthy,Fidel Castro,George W.Bush and Bill Clinton as the Foreign Officials who contributed most in changing Ghana's image and fortunes.We can only hope and pray that his replacement follow in his footsteps.Ghana is ready for that special relationship between Ghana and U.K.That type of mutually benificial relationship will not only do wonders for our people and economies but set a template for future relationship between U.K and other former colonies.

Jerry John Rawlings has stated that greed among some party members led to their loss in the 2016 general elections. He claimed corruption increased to insane levels under John Mahama and accused them of departing from the values of probity and accountability which formed the basis under which the party was formed. According to him, it was mainly because of the corruption that the NDC lost power to the governing New Patriotic Party.
