Jerry John Rawlings has stated that greed among some party members led to their loss in the 2016 general elections. He claimed corruption increased to insane levels under John Mahama and accused them of departing from the values of probity and accountability which formed the basis under which the party was formed. According to him, it was mainly because of the corruption that the NDC lost power to the governing New Patriotic Party.

Npp forbears were on record of throwing bombs at Dr Osargyefo Kwame Nkrumah, chased Gbedemah from parliament.Fast forward,NPP was the architect of kumepreko,wiemepreko,siemepreko and all the preko lawlessness during Rawlings' regime. The thievery and lawlessness are all perpetuated by the NDC fool soldiers such Ogyam, Ugly Akuffo Addo, Aponkye and Nana Kuffour Abeka among others. To them, life is all about milking the government of Ghana and causing unrest to prevent the other party from fulfilling what Ghanaians voted them into power to do. If people may remember, just after the 2000 elections; the PNDC /NDC trained commandos unleashed so much mayhem on Ghanaians to the extent that, people started to blame the Kuffour administration for the lawlessness. But Ghanaians came to understand that the NDC was behind these atrocities. This year, the problem in the Krobo Odumasi and Somanya was influenced by Sam George and his surrogates. First they pushed the NDC dominated districts assembly members to reject the president's nominated candidate, at the same time, they persuaded the youth of the area to attack the assembly members because, they accused the latter of taking bribes from the rejected DCE nominee. After all was settled, Sam George and his cronies fueled the youth of Odumasi and the environs to engage in skirmishes with the workers of Electricity Company Of Ghana. That also escalated to a point that, the police department also lost their patrol Car due to the infernos that was set by the youth. The administration facilities of the ECG suffered a severe damage. Some of the ECG workers and the youth of the town also sustained injuries. So if today Sam George and his pay to write NDC goons have turned around to blame the NPP administration which is still in the transition period, for instigating the lawlessness in the country. I'm not surprised because the NDC was formed with blood and violence, so they thrive in violence period!

Polititians don't learn one bit,Npp appointees ve started dogging calls and ignoring members who were in the trenches with them,all of us can not get appointments but one must reach out to others in their own small ways.We all couldn't ve done frontline politics but in our own small way we prayed and did campaign in taxis,phone in programs and on social media to sustain the momentum for victory.The very reasons that send the NDC packing out of office is what our Npp appointees re engaging in today,apart from making money and living good as ministers,deputy ministers and chief executives they shouldn't forget that one day they ll need us to occupy higher office,if you re a deputy minister today just try and build a good human relations because you just can't tell,the president is a very good example,he built confidence over the years,I would've cursed my stars if he didn't become president,I voted for him and ll vote for him any day,since 1992 I ve never voted for any party apart from Npp.So people like us feel a lot of pain if the party fails to perform or make simple mistakes that has the tendency to derail the gains made so far,it has not been easy taking power from the NDC who shameful can use the police and all the arsenals whiles in power to attack their opponents,2016 was more than a political war and we shouldn't forget the reforms we need to make it impossible for rigging,the electoral system must be well structured,best technology must be sorted across the globe to sustain our democracy.

Npp must do everything possible to reduce fuel prices and transport fares in other to sustain the victory,look the masses re complaining seriously on transport fares.we don't ve proper transportation systems in place so we all depend on our private cars and trotros for our daily travels and we can't play with that,reducing air fares means nothing to the ordinary man on the steets who form the majority of our population.We must also change the face of governance by asking the people what they cherish and not what we think is good for them,that's exactly what John Mahama government did and failed,whiles he thought infrastructure was good for the people,we thought otherwise,bread and butter issues give people peace of mind that useless infrastructure,rent,fuel,electricity,water and school fees once solved will help us all than every other thing.Thats why people halk under overpass bridges and even dedicate under them midnight,proper drainage Systerm mean much more to people than what you think,just go back road and see the muddy roads,even main roads re bad,the npp must look at all executed roads that caused the country millions of dollars to see if it was done to specifications,one good example is community 18 roads,the contractors re re padding the roads after it was finished,I think the thickness was not right,they intended swindling the state but for the change of government they re back to do the right thing.Npp must do value for money audit of all contracts the NDC and corrupt JDM signed for the right things to be done,dubious contractors must be blacklisted if wrongs re find.
