Jerry John Rawlings has stated that greed among some party members led to their loss in the 2016 general elections. He claimed corruption increased to insane levels under John Mahama and accused them of departing from the values of probity and accountability which formed the basis under which the party was formed. According to him, it was mainly because of the corruption that the NDC lost power to the governing New Patriotic Party.

There is always a better way to do things to honor the one you cherish and by so doing you immortalize the deceased. Stop defending this senseless venture. My late dad was a very successful but illiterate cocoa farmer. Non of his 7 children benefited from the then CMB scholarship but he saw every child to make it to the university and beyond. At his death, we the children constructed seven (7) semi-detached four bedrooms fully furnished teachers bungalows for the only SHS in the community . And in collaboration with the district education directorate, named the estate after our late father with a pledge to renovate and furnish the place every 2 years. This single act has since then attracted very good teachers to the school and that has enhanced the academic record of the school every year. OUR Mother is very old and alive and we are even in the process of building an ICT lab and a library for the school in honor of our mother too before she dies. Wise up you foolish Lydia Forson and stop defending this Opuni's family nonsense.

We all did nor see Tetteh Quarshie, Okomfo Anokye, Kwame Nkrumah, etc., but we have their memories in the edifices named after them. With a salary of Millions of cedis, illegally placed in your accounts and all the etc., even an Airport cold have been built for her. Shame. What can your town be proud of?after this?
There is the need to audit them all and see if taxes were paid as deemed in the country by their so called wealth. EVEN IN THE USA, wealthy people establish audifices to be in their memory.
