  The contract under which the government requested for the specified acres of land for a specific purpose, says use it or lose it. It is that simple. The learned judge looked at the existing contract and returned the unused land to its rightful owners, the Osu stool.
  
  Your comparison to the Russian-Alaska sale is neither here nor there. That sales agreement had no such clause that says, if the USA fails to utilise the lands in Alaska, the land must revert to the Russians. On contrary, the Osu-Achimota land does have such a clause.

  According to the story the land was Bought and paid for. Some elders of the OSU traditional area realised that some parts of the land was actually not been used so they went to court to grant the permission to take it back! Really! Greedy bastards not evening trying to come to terms with the occupiers of the land but want to sell the lands to private developers. What is more profitable than investing in kids future to produce quality human resource the country needs. Am an old student and I hope the court throws away their case so the kids study in a harmonious environment for a bright future. This toxic mind set these old people have is what has gotten the whole country to where it is now, where nothing works when you're trying to do anything legal, so there's no loyalty to the country because everybody wants a quick buck and it doesn't matter to them how they make it even if is destroying the future of our kids. Old heartless people always hatching up diabolical things and seeding it in their offsprings who will grow up and be exactly like them, greedy and selfish!! The land that Knust occupies was given to them for free and you will never hear any issues of litigations whatsoever.
