Nkrumah built the 7 square miles university of science and technology in Kumasi, Ashanti region, Ghana, yet the university could not produce good electrical engineers to manage the Ghana electricity problem.

We did not have Akosombo dam, Valco, universities and polytechnics, Government Education Trust and assisted schools, Black Star line, Ghana Airways,Accra-Tema motorway, Job 600, state Farms and numerous industries all over the country, Tema harbour, Ghana Navy and Airforce, free education at primary and tertiary level, free education in Northern Ghana, Atomic reactor and many more.

Our money went into these development projects, to build our economy and generate more money.

Thanks for laying the facts straight, Y.E. President Kuffour. Your good deeds as president extraordinaire, during your tenure will always follow you. Kwame Nkrumah was a traitor; he capitalized on his position as the scribe for the UG group, when he was brought down to help to break away and form the CPP which later won the elections.

Nkrumah's trick was to play on the emotions of Ghanaians when there was tensions Ghana under the rule of the Queen of England; he incited people to go on riots; boycott patronage of foreign goods etc. And told Ghanaians that the UG group were dragging their feet about Ghana's independence.

Hence his slogan: "Independence now!" rather than later, which many gullible Ghanaians bought into. Little did they know that Nkrumah would become a dictator and a tyrant who'd not entertain opposing view from any quarters, while he bulldozed his way, with communist ideology and programs.

Not very long into his administration, things started falling apart, socially and economically. Ghana's economic fortunes started dwindling under one of Africa's dictators. Nkrumah saw to the demise of great leaders and astute politicians in prison, eg. late J.B. Danquah, who's the great Uncle of H.E. President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo.

Kwame Nkrumah started asking every Ghanaian family to declare all their assets, which sent waves of fear and warnings to people of our great nation, the imminent collapse of Ghana's economy after lots of mismanagement. The President had just completed doling out huge sums of monies to other neighbouring countries, notably Sekou Toure's Guinea, granted scholarships to some eminent Pan-African leaders and scholars at the detriment of Ghana's economy, although the British had bequeathed to Ghana healthy economy.

Simply Nkrumah destroyed Ghana's economic fortunes esp. when he started building state-owned factories and enterprises, typical of the Communist. He was "Kofi Ba-bone" of Ghana. Period!

Compare the achievements of Nkrumah's 9 year strong leadership and 25 years of weak democracy which only breed corrupt leaders. Ghana democracy cannot be said to be democracy. It is moneycracy. Look for money bride the chiefs and opinion leaders then you will be elected.
During Nkrumah time there were no tribal wars as today. Building a modern nation from different ethnic groups needs a strong person like Nkrumah for about 50 and more years to unite the various ethic group. the opposition to Nkrumah was purely from tribal consideration and neo-colonial thinking. Do you know why we think individually as against nationally. it is because we lack strong leaders to unite the various interest tribal groups to think nationally and this cannot be done without hurting some individuals who want to remain ethnically or status quo.
Anyway those who were opposing Nkrumah were those who thought that the British will hand power to them to loot Ghana coffers as it was done when Nkrumah was overthrown by CIA and UP loyalist.
The PDA introduced to Ghana by Nkrumah is the reason why Ghana has not experienced any Civil War as happened in most of Africa countries
The Republican constitution and unitary governance we have from 1960 is basis of Ghana stability devoid of any wars.
Anyway China is One-Party state from 1949 to today but look at China's miracle. No country on this earth has done what China has done during one generation. S. Korea, Singapore, Malaysia developed faster under One-party state system.

In fact more than2 million voting Nkrumahists brought Nana to power last December! Because they had enough of NDC abuse of power and serious misconduct and corruption. What Nkrumah built for the nations collective prosperity and future generations, NPP under K4 came and looted (just as with Rawlings under NDC did). K4 can afford to spew such defamatory crap because he's gone scott-free with his thievery and is now enjoying big time from the E.O. Group scam that Edusei fronted for him.

Motorway.
Free Education including allowances for University Students.
Accra was clean.
35 to 40 Black Star Lines.
GIHOC ( a lot of factories)
Tema Harbour.

Did he insult him and called him names? He took an aspect of his governance he did not agree: he was of the view that such steps by Inkrumah did not help. Why don't we all speak to the issue without insults. Did he compare himself to Inkrumah? No!
Even in Christianity many people speak against the crusade. If someone speaks against the crusade in the history of the Church, I don't think that person is rubishing christianity in general.
