If there is anybody to be compared to Atta Ayi, then Rawlings and his wife are better templates. They stole state properties, Ghana can and GNTC land properties and buildings.

Ex-President Rawlings executed several senior military officers for using their positions to obtain GHC5.00 loans from their banks, then he went ahead and accepted a US$5million gift bribe from Nigerian dictator Sani Abacha in exchange for becoming a spokesperson for the then internationally ostracized Abacha. Then he fraudulently gave several State assets to his wife and cronies, and fired Victor Smith, his personal assistant, for not allowing him (Rawlings) to keep monies brought in by some Nigerians to fund an NDC campaign in contravention of Ghana's 1992 Constitution. Rawlings was also engaged in all sorts of corrupt acts including the GHACEM bribery scandal. Rawlings has no moral right to call anybody corrupt, let alone ex-President JA Kufuor. The only former leader who is more corrupt than Rawlings is Ex-President John Mahama who came to power on the ticket of the NDC, a looting brigade founded by Rawlings himself. Rawlings liked chopping Nigerian bribe money papa.
