As a country should we always be asking "WHO" instead of "WHY" the solution to most of our draw backs would always be elusive.The chiefs assistance can help solve this but not holding them responsible for what they know nothing about. Please respect them.

There's a very low cost solution to resolve this.We could use a Fencing machine to install high barbed wire fences around schools to keep people out after school hours.It cost way less than building a wall around each school ...

There's a very low cost solution to resolve this.We could use a Fencing machine to install high barbed wire fences around schools to keep people out after school hours.It cost way less than building a wall around each school and walls can be easily scaled.But more importantly this ties into the larger problem of inadequate security at our schools and I am quite sure we will soon be forced to look into long term solutions such as cameras and uniformed Roving Guards.But for the time being we could make it almost impossible for people to gain unauthorized entry into the schools with high barbed wire fences.

YES..THE SCHOOLS MUST BE FENCED WITH BARBED WIRE AND GUARDS ENGAGED FOR EACH OF THE SCHOOLS TO PROTECT THEM. JUST CLOSING THE SCHOOLS WILL DEFEAT THE VERY REASONS SCHOOLS ARE ESTABLISHED FOR.

Community leaders must be involved to turn the situation into a positive one. Build toilets for the community, use classrooms as adult education for the community to enlighten then, provide free ICT to all.

I am a Forest Research Scientist based in Germany. In 1995, I initiated a Tree Planting Project „Planting of Trees on Ghanaian School compounds“ with 4 Schools in the Central Region but now increased to 75, with school children planting beautiful trees on their School compounds. Solar lamps as incentive have been introduced into the project. A child gets a free solar lamp when he/she plants 4 trees and caters for them for 6 Months. Since every child is eager to receive a solar lamp, thousands of trees are being planted. A modern tree nursery has just been completed in September 2016 where 10,000 tree seedlings have already been nursed and distributed. The project is sustainable since it is being guided by environmental education.
I had the same Problem of defecation with one of the first 4 Schools which I made a KVIP toilet to be built for the pupils. Since the toilet was locked, the People around who had no Access to toilet facility broke into it to use and later turned the beautiful established forest on the coumpound into toilet and wee Smoking ground. All my efforts to let the Chief of Chief of the town stop the defecation proved futile. At Long last the beautiful trees were cut down with the excuse that ECG was going to put up electric lines exactly through the forest which will benefit the community more than the trees and this without compensation. I wept when I was informed and have still not got over the loss but this is considered normal in Ghana where the degradation of the Environment is of no concern to the society.

In the civilised countries ;i,e , UK here there is no school; nursery and college without fencing / wall with secured gates and CCTV monitoring those passing by the gate. What kind of people are that corruption , greed, selfishness and sheer wickedness have removed our thinking brains from our skulls and blinded us that we cannot learn any good from our colonial masters after 60 years of independent ? What are to do to stop this madness of classrooms defecation. Oh me man Ghana.

that is the behaviour of the town . If i were to be the district director, i will close the school forever. deficating and splashing it on the pupils desk, chalkboards and so, if it were u will u continue to teach at that place hmm.
GES has even consider the town by closing and allow the teacher stay untill they resist.
