  Opoku, thanks you. Besides is he still a lawyer. He and his friend David Annan. Anyone who takes this guy as his lawyer before any court will end up in jail

  Chris Ackummey struggled to pass at UCC in 1974 and struggled to go through Law School. Those of us who know him remember him as a DUNCE.

  Unconstitutional or illegal merit is no merit either, there are requirements for students to meet before applying to enter the law school, if those requirements and conditions are met, why place an extra burden of entrance exams and interviews on applicants? Excelling in entrance exams and interview may not necessarily make one a good student of law nor a great lawyer. Besides, every school has its own mechanisms of "weeding out" non-performing students so the fear of producing "bad" lawyers per the notion of influx of students into the law school due to non existent of "extra" requirements cannot be substantiated.

  Ackumey is backward- looking lawyer and not conscious of the integrity and the high standards of the legal profession and lawyers. More lawyers of integrity are needed in Ghana and Africa and their education should not be obstructed and denied.
  
  The examination system must be open; no secrecy in setting questions and answering by students. Students must know the amount of materials to produce for every question and issues to respond to and how to respond before they go into the examination hall.
  
  That is what legal education and training of lawyers is all about.
  
  However, Mr Ackumey held the view that “we might end up having all sorts of people who might not be of merit or qualify to enter the Law School so, actually, I am against it”.
  
  For him, there must be a way of screening the total number of applicants to fill the limited number of spaces at the Ghana Law School, adding that Prof Asare’s case is “victory without merit”.

  May be we should just scrape the Law School.
