"Now in power, Akufo Addo administration knows the truth in the 2 Gitmo deal Mahama administration signed with US because they have the classified documents now. They cannot afford to lose the National Security Apparatus and Intelligence Boost Ghana earned and continues to enjoy as a result of keeping the 2 Gitmos.

Donald Trump will be glad to get and ship them to their countries and stop the money US spends on the Security Intelligence Booster Ghana gets. Some other countries which lack strong National Security Apparatus made similar deals and took in some of the detainees. Ghana wasn't the only country, but Ghana is the only country which is having political problems with the deal. I believe Government is going to find a way to continue keeping them, through Parliament, as the court advised for alternative solution.

Security Intelligence information is always classified, therefore, not open to public so when NPP was in opposition and did not know the benefits that came with the deal they had the right to make noise, but I don't expect them to be mute over some irresponsible member's utterances on the issue".

The visas application protocol inconveniences are the least privileges that Ghana feels uncomfortable to lose. But think about the National Security Intelligence America gives to the nation because of the 2 Gitmo deal. We have Bokoharam a stone throw away, there have been some terrorist activities around Ghana - Bokina Faso is one. Has anybody wondered why Ghana has seen any terrorist activities since the 2 Gitmos got here. We should not allow partisan politics pollute our minds.

Let's stop this habitual inferiority complex when we are dealing with Abrofo, and be firm on our national interest too henceforth.

These suspects came from the US, if our highest court has ruled as per our constitution to be taken back, so be it. I do not see why this verdict from the bench should be seen as "seeking trouble with the USA".

Amaliba shouldn't attempt to link the gov't of H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo's gov't to cancellation of visas to ex-Presidents, former Ministers and MPs. For the records, the NDC brought Ghana on its knees in the sight of international observers. Ghana's clout in the sight of international observers had faded very badly.
