  Am happy that someone is taking interest of the health and well being of the people. People are scared of Cancer and HIV but let me tell you sickle cell is a very dangerous disease.This because there are medications that one can take to supress HIV. But there is absolutely no cure for sickle cell. Please go and test so as to be aware of your status as far as sickle cell is concerned. Before you get married please let your partner get tested.It is for the benefit of you the parent so as to decide if you still want to proceed with the marriage. Remember once the child have the disease there is no cure.The medical bills and the financial strain that is going to be on the family. Because this disease comes with sleepless nights and doctor bills.I have a daughter who has a full blown sickle cell and it has been a challenge had it not been the grace of God.

That is why there are: Normal AA, Carrier AS, and Sickle SS. You either be one of these. Bad education is dangerous, Mr. Be Informed, Toronto doing "Diaperthology" in a nursing home!
