  Students with special needs should for all students facing such challenges. Also public nurses must assess all children at age 4 and be put on a long term programme to be followed to special schools specific to their needs. The assessment should involve the following health professionals. This includes paediatric doctors, public health nurse,social workers, special needs nurse experts and the parents themselves. Currently many many children are falling through the net because Ghana does not have the system in every district to ensure children with special needs are followed up and supported throughout their life span. Is this area for Otiko and her deputy to follow up perhaps?
