China is able to track their every single import, Nigeria's customs were able to detect cleverly hidden heavy weaponry imported from Iran, Kenya, South Africa, Cameroon and many other African countries have absolute control over their ports, borders and airports.They are not using magic to perform these functions.We will not accept excuses or failure.You can find our how the other countries are doing it and learn from them.If we wanted excuses Mahama and his excuse/insult experts will still be in power.Lady you are at the helm to solve problems not to tell us what you can and cannot do.Others countries have done it already, learn from them! Or better yet step down and allow someone with the brains, courage and vision to take on our problems.Nobody said our problems were easy!

No country has been able to stop completely the entry of fake products within their jurisdiction. All they are able to do is to minimize the influx of fake products.

She should have come out with an order, stating that henceforth, anyone caught or found importing fake products, will be severely dealt with or serve a jail term for @ least sixty years. Just come out with an order, & make sure it works. Anyone caught disobeying your orders, use them as an example for others to see & desist from such acts. Also warn custom officers who allow traders to bring in fake items that they will be fired if caught. If the trader is caught, find out & see what time, day & year the said items entered Ghana. If found, the immigration officer or officers who allowed the fake products into the country, be fired. Is this a hard work for you to do? If you lack sense, do get in touch with me.

I think the plastic or fake rice is only sold to Ghanaians and there is a solution. Consumers should be given the right to sue directly manufacturers, stores or importers when they realize there is question on their products; like being flake or containing harmful micro/macro-organisms.
This will help vigilance and well behaved importation and selling of goods.

Let a U. S man/woman see even a maggot in a food, then that store should be ready for court cos the consumer's $1 can cause a total shutdown of multimillion company.

Who says that Ghana can't stop fake products from coming to Ghana? When the right things are done; when proper monitoring, proper documentation etc. and when offenders are given stiffer punishments without fear or favour, our ports will be crime free. Remove all those CDRs, PDCs and WDRs who were imposed on Ghanaians at the various ports and borders and see what kind of success Ghana will have. They're all "wolves in sheep skin" destroying the nation's hard-won reputation.
