Why didn't you deliberate on the bill in your Chinese renovated JOB 600 building that had costed tax payer an inflated millions of US dollars?

It was meant to influence members of the committee. Even lawyer David Lamptey indicated in his memo that the request for money was meant to 'push ' the bill. Thus the money was bribe.

Equally "scandalized" by the twisted argument of Hon. Kpodo. Per diem is predetermined and does not change for various official travels. Does the amount allegedly paid represent the official, approved per diem for MPs? Per diem and other related allowances are paid by the employer, i.e. Parliament. Is the NLA an arm of Parliament? I Hon. Kpodo as a retired university accountant. Given his professional background, his defence of this sordid transaction is shocking. With people like this in Parliament, God save Ghana.

What is the work of Parliament, not law making? So, who should pay you allowance or per diem, when you are doing your work. Any talk of allowance or per diem should be the responsibility of parliament. The NDC entrenched corruption so they have no shame engaging in it.

You want us to accept that there is nothing wrong for a suspected thief to sponsor the police to hire a vehicle to travel to the scene of an ongoing operation which was knowing organised by the very suspect? Hmmmm! And when would such a vehicle arrive at the scene?

This issue would have been high criminal conduct if like the money was being taken by one party being either the NPP or the NDC. Are we safe in this country. Martin Amidu has alleged that our legislators do take bribes but no one is willing to push that issue forward.
