I dont believe in too much superstition but in this case, i think asamoah gyan, if he still wants to take penalty kicks for ghana against his late mother's wish, then he must do something about it. he can use elders of the family and other traditional leaders to go to the mother's grave site and appeal to her spirits by pouring libation to rescind her decision...personally i think gyan is a good penalty taker but in football, nothing is impossible..just think about it that even messi, ronaldo,and may other great footballers also miss penalties

What are you talking about. We have penalty takers, we don't need Gyan for that. Jordan Ayew can score a penalty with his eyes closed. When have you ever heard that he has missed a penalty?

This guy does not appear hungry enough when it comes to penalties. It is a shame how he tries to unilaterally decide to take penalties without discussing it with some ofb the players. For the opponent, it is part of the psychology. Asamoah Gyan's arrogance is becoming too much ! We witnessed C. K. Gyamfi,Aggrey Fynn,...Stephen Appiah, John Mensah and others who carried themselves with distinction without controversies. No accusation of rape etc. May be Asamoah Gyan Should now move on to his musical career and stop breaking our hearts.
