Where was this NGO when Nyinahin Bauxite reserve site was being given out to other business entities in the country by the previous government .You cannot use the fight against galamsey to justify your position taken that by mining the bauxite the forest would be depleted. In as much as we share with you your concern about the possible depletion of the forest I think the strong message to government is that should that mineral be mined then right from day one for that operation afforestation programme be put in place and that commitment should come from present or future government and stakeholders, traditional leaders, law enforcement agencies and the entire citizenry should ensure the compliance of such commitment by government present and future.
