Why blame Akuffo Addo? Has his government not fought galamsey than any other government? Count the number of excavators seized. Did he bring the Chinese to come and engage in galamsey. Were the numerous pits not dug before he came to power? How many of them have been sealed since he became Prez?
Ghanaians are naturally not law abiding. How many times should the government talk about the dangers of galamsey. Those guys did not care about Ghana but the get rich quick attitude. Is galamsey the only work in Ghana? Foolishly, they work for the Chinese for something meager. They invited death to their camp so they have to pay for it. If there is any blame, it should be on Mahama who allowed the Chinese into Ghana to do whatever they want including digging such pits.
