  It is wonderful to hear our Parliamentarians talking about issues we sent them to the august house to deliberate on in a bipartisan way . That is , national development to create jobs, instead of the constant partisan noisy bickering. We must all focus on developing our natural resources to create economic activities at create jobs irrespective of which group runs the country?

  Kwame Nkrumah also had a brilliant vision for Ghana but he spent our precious money on other African nations as a result ignore his own strategic plans for Ghana. Surely any sensible President would have finished building its nation first to serve as a model for the countries he helped. Kwame Nkrumah failed Ghana big time when we had the money to be like Malaysia.

  Good idea - but do we have enough bauxite to go round. I understand the Chinese have been given the rights to bauxite deposits under the agreement for the money they are going to give us.

  We must be pragmatic and realistic.Kuffour bought Kaiser's and Aloa's shares in VALCO for $700 million in favour of the State.The idea was to produce more aluminium and create jobs but we don't have sufficient power to supply VALCO.The problem with VALCO is electricity,that's the reason why I've always wondered how could Ghana operate another 216 new factories.For factories to make benefit and expand its activities,energy supply have to be constant and cheaper.When you talk of factories,it's not like selling dog chains or spare parts at Abbosey Okai where no electricity is needed.VALCO as I knew in the 70s was running 24/7 with 3/8 shifts.In 1971 when I first visited my sister in Tema at Community 7,it was the VALCO buses and the flare from GHIP that impressed me most.I think this is just political talk because if we do care about VALCO we wouldn't see Sarfo Marfo,the prime minister and Bawumia the Vice President running after the Chinese.Thank you.
