  Disregard Shameful and Desperate Publication. I'm not Responsible - Robert Lartey (YEA Staff)
  
  My attention has been drawn to a very shameful and distasteful article that has gone viral since yesterday purporting to have been authored by one Robert Lartey, who is identified as a YEA Staff in the said wayward publication.
  
  I'm inclined to issue this disclaimer because my search from the Agency's records has revealed no other staff who bears the name, Robert Lartey except my good myself. Obviously, the misguided person or persons behind the said publication targeted me for the authorship.
  
  Let me place on record that YEA is a fully established Public Service Agency regulated by an ACT of Parliament (ACT 887) and the LI 2231. Since the passage of the YEA ACT in 2015, all the activities of the Agency as regards recruitment, training, upgrading, promotions, placement, postings, etc have been strictly regulated by the Public Services Commission (PSC). In fact, the last Restructuring done by the Agency in 2016 was done with the full backing and in collaboration with the Public Services Commission. By law, no Public Service institution can undertake a Restructuring exercise on its own without the collaboration of the PSC.
  
  Again, it is worthy of note that the YEA has a Scheme of Service which was prepared by the PSC and approved for implementation by the then Governing Board of the Agency in 2016. In fact, all staff (except those recently appointed on contract) were placed according to their qualifications and experience in line with the dictates of the Scheme of Service in 2016 and reposted with some moving from one region to the adjoining region.
  
  I must place on record that I'm appalled by what is currently going on in the Agency. The baseless politicization of the Agency and the forceful removal of staff duly recruited and employed under the instructions of the PSC, the mass movements of staff without the authorization of a Governing Board and the careless attitude with which issues of the Agency are being handled leaves to much to be desired by any level headed staff of the Agency.
  
  This isn't the first time a staff or staff of the Agency has or have gone to court against the Agency for one reason or the other. It must be noted that this is actually the second time lawyer Samson Lardy Anyenini is doing a case for staff of the Agency against the Agency. Again, the current Internal Auditor of the Agency, Charles Tetteyfio is on record to have taken the Agency to court in 2015. I therefore do not see any fuse about the current court case. An aggrieved worker(s) seeking redress in court is part of the processes involved in dispute resolution prescribed by the PSC.
  
  I, by this statement thus strongly disassociate myself from the said statement in circulation and call on management to see to the amicable settlement of the raging controversies so as to clear the way for the Agency to resume it's mandate and responsibilities towards the teaming jobless youth of the country.
  
  Long live YEA.
