Then NDC Deputy Minority leader, James Klutse Avedzi, also said the amount is $5.0M. Now the NDC General Secretary is saying the amount is $3.5M. It is only the NPP that has remained consistent with $13.9 so far. It appears the NDC is not saying the truth. They are doing this to defend Thief Mahama at all cost. However, pressure mounted on the NDC has forced Allotey Jacobs, the NDC chairman for Central Region to admit guilt. He stated on Peace Fm that the fresh document from Consar on the cost of the project brings finality to the controversy surrounding the cost, adding that contesting the cost is impossible.“With what has come from Consar Limited, it is difficult to defend this issue. They are on the job and what they have put out settles the controversy surrounding the cost of the project. This is where Adwoa Sarfo used her connections to add Dome Kwabenya to the 23. The rest, ie 177 may never be built because it depended on money availability. This has nothing to do with world bank as unit but getting some people at the place to put pressure. NDC was using excuse that no land could be identified at Dome. Check and you will find that all others of the 23 are in NDC strongholds.
