  Say that again, The Lips of The Righteous. This lady was suspended, she defied the suspension by continuing working and now the suspension has to be withdrawn and an apology rendered to her. Clearly she has someone up there. This attitude of politicians using their influence to encourage bad habit will not take us anywhere. Here in the advanced countries, yes mothers are encouraged to breastfeed. But no mother would dare bring her baby to work let alone breastfeeding him/her during working hours. NO CHANCE! We will never get anywhere with this attitude.

What about distraction from her duty by d kid ? Does d hospitsl"s insurance cover this kid? I agree with d suspension but not for d breast feeding.This will not be allowed in d US. Pls stop d arrows thrown at d personell who suspended her . He did d right thing .she can do that if, d hospital is her own .pls check d website of infectious disease center in Atlanta for cross contaminations in hospitals.

  The labour acts even makes provision for nursing mothers to be allowed intermitent breaks in order to breastfeed their babies. it is time heads of institutions realise that they cannot continue to use such unlawful punitive acts to suppress their hardworking subordinates. The abuse of power and authority by some superiors is becoming intolerable. The health service can do better and must educate such ego inflated superiors.

  Does the labour/employment act allow workers to bring their wards to the work place? Sometimes some of you just spew things you know no knowledge of. Here in the western world no one is allowed to bring their kid to the work place, whether that work place is a hospital/health center or otherwise. It's about time we started displaying a very positive attitude at work if we really want to get somewhere. That's the only way we can develop - that's the difference between us and the developed world. If we think having natural resources is what will make us develop then we are tickling ourselves.

Are we considering the health implications in sending babies to hospitals? Is the nurse at the hospital to take care of her patients or baby. The decision sets a bad precedent.
