AS I WRITE, THE STREETS OF GHANA ARE STILL PARADED BY CHICKEN, GOATS, SHEEP, PIGS, STRAY DOGS AND HAWKERS.
ARE THESE FOLKS NOT SHAMEFUL TO CARRY BIG TITLES WHILE THE ILLITERATE COCOA FARMERS AND THE UNSKILLED MINE WORKERS HAVE TO WORK LIKE DONKEYS TO EARN THE NATIONS FOREIGN EXCHANGE AND FOR THE SO CALLED EDUCATED AND POLITICIANS TO ENJOY FROM THE SWEAT OF THEIR LABOUR.

Only a fool will say this! He got his Doctorate Degree at a University in Swiss. He is a very intelligent and innovative man from Ajumako. He attended a village school okey!

Dr. John Kofi Mensah is the Executive Chairman of Family Fountain Assets and Securities Limited. He is an accomplished Banker with over 25 years’ experience. He started his banking career with the now defunct Bank for Housing and Construction as an Economic and Research Officer and later as a Treasury Officer. He moved to the Securities Discount House in 1995 as a Deputy Chief Money Market Dealer in 1996. He joined International Commercial Bank as the Manager for Treasury and Foreign Operations. By dint of hard work he rose to become the General Manager Operations and later on the Deputy Chief Executive of the Bank.
He then joined Unibank as the General Manager Operations. Once again he rose to become the Deputy Managing Director of the Bank. In 2011 he resigned to become the Chief Executive Officer of First Capital Plus with the mandate to propel the company to achieve Universal Banking status. He successfully assisted the company to obtain a Class I License in November 2012 from the Bank of Ghana.
He holds a First Degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Ghana and a Masters Degree in Banking and Finance from FinAfrica in Milan with excellent grade, cum laude. He has a Doctorate in DBA Finance From Swiss Management Centre University in Switzerland. He holds various certificates from courses and seminars in Europe and Asia over the past twenty years. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Financial Managers (FIPM) in the United Kingdom.
