  It is very interesting to note that the Fathers of Messrs Casely Hayford and Kweku Baaku had hands in writing the first pre Nkrumah constitution which agreed on initary system of Government insted of the Federal type which gives voices to the manoriy on democratic principles.To day their offsprings seem to challenge each other as to which is the best principles to adhere.If the present Parliament is not doing well, then it must be attributed to the type of laws the first Parliament passed on to the succeeding generations which have become argueably, a bone of contention which must be seen to have it changed.

  every year he got MPs common fund
  just asking - what had he done with the money ?
  any evidence to show up ?
  
  all the MPs must enlist what they have use the fund for in their constituencies
  Then tell me the usefuness of parliament given that money to the MPs- was it meant to pay school fees ? or it meant for infrastructural developmment ?
  
  and who is checking them from parliament that the purpose of given that money is met, so it should be continue ?
  what casely said was nothing but the reality and thinking of many ghanaians who dont have such a platform.
  
  every region must have it own parliament to set it own laws that are people centered than this thing that is officiadom centered

  Kweku Baako get the f**k out of here. More than 90% of Ghanaians support what C. Hayford said. We have a corrupt and useless parliament.

  Mr. Baako, visit the comments on Ghanaweb to provide you with some over view of Ghanaians about Casely-Hayford repudiation of Parliament. Forget the structure; passing laws for the betterment of the country so far is just ineffective. Just nonsense. Ghana is still borrowing all over the world for developments that should have been relevant to the nation by now and yet that is not the case due to ineffective laws. Since Kwame Nkrumah, show me traceable land marks that show the country is forward thinking to bring about prosperity? Nothing. Kumasi Garden city is dead. No trace of it. The Zoos are gone. Students in Ghana do not have educational and historical places of events to learn. Atomic energy ineffective if even it exists. Pedestrians trashing the cities with filth. Ghanaians are building where ever they choose to creating a messy city movement. Traders and hawkers are selling anywhere and Millions of Cedis in tax- base revenues are not realized for the country or city. There is no orderliness but chaos. Has parliament ever asked how many diaspora wish to register businesses in Ghana but refuse to and therefore why? Your ineffectiveness of creating money revenues for the country has jeopardize infrastructure and security. Crime is just too high. Frustration is everywhere. Your lack of intellectual capability to focus on the need of the country has rather created a dependency on WHO is the president.
  
  Your ineffectiveness has created sons and daughters seeking opportunities outside resulting into slavery and abuse of these Ghanaians. You have failed to provide the young generation of the tools they need to improve themselves and grow the country. Advance countries are providing and establishing opportunities for their young generation and OURS rather selfishly looking out for themselves.
