I recently heard a tearful WhatApp audio of a Ghanaian domestic worker in Saudi Arabia. She was on the verge of committing suicide because she and the other domestic workers are treated worse than animals by the Saudis.
There is no place like home, so instead of seeing life abroad as a solution to all our problems we Ghanaians must ensure that we vote into office a government for the people, that will not steal our resources to enrich themselves but to improve life for all of us.
Maybe this time all the returnees will form the critical mass of agitation for good governance in our beloved Ghana, because there is only ONE Ghana. OUR GHANA

This is the question: why would anyone struggle so much to enter the States, and instead of finding some humble job to do, rather choose to engage in criminal activity? What people are failing to get here is that, those returnees arriving are people with some form of documented crimes against them. What these people fail to recognise is that the laws over there work so effectively, so when you go against it, it will surely deal with you. And when this happens, why should anyone pity you? Crime never, never pays, and that is the big lesson everybody has to learn. These people got their chance to get there, and they have blown it big time. Our own leaders have disrespected, abused,insulted, and ashamed us over and over and 1000 times over than any person or country has abused Ghanaians by their corruption, incompetence, stupidity and their idiotic unquenchable appetite for cars and other material gains. Why would they now complain about what US and other nations are doing to their own sons and daughters?
If we have implemented sound policies and judgement, cared about the youth employment and many others issues bedevilling the country, these people wouldn't have travelled. Hypocrites shedding stinking crocodiles tears as if they care about anybody. Leaders with no sense, leaders without vision and purpose, leaders without compassion and empathy, leaders to be served than to serve. Sad!

Why are the Ghanaians having to secure Travel Certificates to travel from Saudi, what has happened to their passports. The Government would have to take the issue with the Saudi's if even a single passport is being held by an employer which unfortunately is the sad norm in the Middle East if you are not in a top level employment. We need to stand firm and demand the return of passports.
