  How can one be innovative in the absence analytical thinking and practical initiatives in our own AFRICAN HERITAGE, CULTURE, TRADITION and INTEGRITY????
  
  How can we be innovative when others do the thinking for us and put them on paper for us to CHEW, POUR, PASS and FORGET?????
  
  How can we be innovative when we have been 'taught' and continue to 'taught' in our colonialist form of education to believe we are POOR, whilst we are sitting on GOLD - so to speak! That form of education has made we AFRICANS to be 'LAZY THINKERS', because everything is thought of and passed on to us.
  
  When are we ever going to get it???
  Please let's think things through before we make such blanket statements.
  
  OUR LINGOS IS THE ANSWER!!!! The EU states still function in their own lingos!!!!

It is critical that we have our own narratives, through initiatives like the IPA”.
  
  She, therefore, urged that “we tell our story and support those who through their innovation and creativity drive economic growth,” further encouraging all “to be innovation enablers and not just leave it to institutions like the African Innovation Foundation”.

  That is a fantastically profound nugget of absolute and complete wisdom. Was discussing this very thing just yesterday after reading an article about how the GIPC could be reviewed to create billionaires out of Ghana. And that is exactly how it is done as succinctly put by the First lady. The Technical committee of GIPC therefore needs to be looked at again, and reconstituted to draw on the research that are being done in our institutions, to create viable alternative local solutions that hold promise, source investment funds to drive economic growth and development. An example that came to mind was the machinery that had been developed by a Prof. Borbribi(hope I got it right) at the Agricultural Engineering Dept of KNUST to harvest cassva, I think. This is one innovative product that could transform our agricultural sector in the area of mechanized farming. What if through further development that product became the go to machinery to harvest all kinds of root tubers in Ghana or even the whole of Africa? That right there is your version of a combine harvester. We all know how much a combine harvester costs. No large scale grains farmer can talk of serious output without a combine harvester.
  Research, development, innovation, entrepreneurship is what the First Lady is calling on Ghana and Africa to champion, to address the huge unemployment situation and the socioeconomic challenges facing the over 200 million African youth.

  Don't you AFRICANS get it? You cannot be like those you are APING around in everything! PERIOD! Even if we try, just as we have been trying for generations......the outcome will continually be what we continue to see and live in....ABJECT POVERTY! Because we are POOR in thinking for ourselves.
  
  The first lady's call will get nowhere until we AFRICANS chart our own path and start training our children from today to start thinking for themselves and BE CREATIVE in OUR GOD-GIVEN lingos rather than being told what and how to think, by others in their lingos.
