I cannot believe Nana said he is not against the Chinese mining in the country. Our natural resources happens to be one of the main stays of our economy, it should not be sold away to the Chinese.

And for the effort you have shown so far, I just cannot appreciate you more. Keep it up, and I will do everything I can to make your fight a success. Any Ghanaian leader who does not see the fight against Galamsey as necessary and needing prompt and swift unbending commitment should be rejected. Period!

If Nana succeeds in stopping Galamsey completely but falters in any other of his Campaign promises, I would still give him high marks and encourage all to do the same.

The effects of Galamsey are life-threatening to all. Many fail to recognize how the scouring of our land, ridding it of our Forests and other vegetation, and pumping dangerous chemicals into the soil and our bodies of water, from wells to Steams and Rivers, pose existential threats to us all.

Not only does the Galamsey cause direct pollution of our environment, it eradicates our ecological features that encourage and sustain our sources of drinking water. And that alone is enough reason to stop it.
