The Attorney General was appointed and sworn in before she resigned from the Board of Enterprise Insurance and no one raised a figure. Why did constant witch hunt? A similar thing happened at the Controller and Accountant General's Department where some staff used their political association to cause the removal of a Controller and Accountant General just one month after assuming responsibility.

As fate would have it a new government came into being and the former Controller was who was removed was reappointed again by the new political power. Guess what, all those who petitioned for his removal some few years ago have all been transferred out due to trust issues.

Staff of EC should not allow politicians to use them for no one knows tomorrow.

This seems to be a well-orchestrated attempt by some who have some partisan agenda against the EC Chair to get rid of her from her Position. If that speculation were true, I would pray the Parliament to intervene immediately. It shouldn't be left in the hands of the Chief Justice and the President alone to resolve.

In fact, it would be wise for the Parliament to take this opportunity to divest the Power to appoint an EC Chairperson from the Presidency. That Power must ultimately reside solely with the Parliament, with minimal predetermination contributions from the Chief Justice, the Bar Association, and reputable Civil Institutions. The Executive must not have anything more to do with the choice of individuals for the EC Chair. Period!

China will get 5% ($22.5 billion) of Ghana's $450 Billions of Ghana's Bauxite deposit and immediately give Ghana between $15 to $20 billion for Ghana's immediate development needs. The Bauxite will also be converted to aluminum in Ghana further providing jobs to the Ghanaian youth. It is a win win situation for Ghana and China. What Dr. Bawumia did is not borrowing it is called leveraging in economics. Use what you have to get what you want.

Because of China's industrialization, it needs aluminum for its industries that manufacture those electronics gadgets. Ghana has a lot of Bauxite from which aluminum is derived. China will get 5% ($22.5 billion) of Ghana's $450 Billions of Ghana's Bauxite deposit and immediately give Ghana between $15 to $20 billion for Ghana's immediate development needs. The Bauxite will also be converted to aluminum in Ghana further providing jobs to the Ghanaian youth. It is a win win situation for Ghana and China. What Dr. Bawumia did is not borrowing it is called leveraging in economics. Use what you have to get what you want....

It seems those individuals involved in that loss of public Funds in the EC and their sympathizers are behind this petition.

The real motivation for the Petition must be investigated, and those behind it called before the Parliament to make their case and be subjected to cross-examination as if in Court.

It could well be a bunch of NPP sympathizers conspiring to get rid of her as a retaliation against NDC. Either way, such politicization of the EC must be stopped immediately before the next Elections come along.

If the EC Chair goes, so should all the Petitioners. Ghana would rather be much better off to keep a partisan-free environment at the EC than keep these egoistic, partisan operatives in there at any level.
