There is no need for any threat when they are exercising their constitutional right.
Even some of the US citizens demonstrated against Trumps election freely without any counter demo.

What is she suing for ? Another "Donald Trump" surrogate in Ghana ?

In a democracy, everyone is equal before the law, supposedly. Just as people have the right to question how the President is running the country, they have the same right to question Article 71 appointees.

One way to get Article 71 appointees out of office apart from voluntary resignation, is to petition them to be removed on the basis of incompetence or otherwise.

If the President or the Attorney General finds enough evidence to refer the matter to court, she could go there (court) to defend herself.

Threatening to sue anyone is just a threat and does not absolve her of the perceived wrongs she is deemed to have committed.

She can't toy with angry petitioners within the EC who want her out of office because of abuse of power, arrogance and misappropriation of funds, including her bias during the 2016 elections. She was handpicked by John Mahama to do the bidding of the NDC party. Charlotte Osei really has to come to grips; she seem dazed by realities on the ground!

These are some of the facts that influenced the aggrieved EC workers. Charlotte Osei started dismissing some of the electoral officers for reasons nobody can explain. She's now living with reality. Now she's threatening to sue petitioners for defamation. Hmmm!!!

You took over from a very popular Chair, and you must have known when you accepted the job that his shoes will be very big to fill. You sue, and you'd end up providing more fuel for the nay sayers. That should be part of the petition unless the Concerned EC Staff also chopped some of the GHC5m.
