You are right. JJ was more of a "concert" player. Abedi didn't have time for those jokes. He was a very serious minded player. It explains why he won 3 and JJ won nothing.

My greatest fond memory of the Maestro was the UEFA Champions League Finals in 1993 when Marseille played star studded AC Milan, and ultimately Marseille won.

Abedi, once said Mohammed Polo was his idol player because he was a very skillful player, yet he was NOT strong. So he blended/emulated Polo's play with physicality.

JJ Okocha, used to dribble without a purpose, Abedi used his speed, great foot work, and strength to outwit his opponents.

JJ Okocha, is no where even near Ablade Kumah [SABATO].

The greatest footballer of all time is Diego Maradona plain and simple.

Okocha is a circus clown. He's a poor man''s version of Neymar. He does tricks but it leads to nothing. Abedi is direct and scores goal's he's strong fast and very creative. So yes okocha has more tricks but Abedi is better

He dribble's like a headless chicken without end product. Abedi on the other hand cast fear into the hearts of his opponents and make plays. He's was a direct and purposeful player. When he steps on the field his opponents quiver. Okocha never played for any big team, never won a league title and never won any recognized personal award. Abedi was voted abedi won multiple league titles with marseille, twice European champions league finalists and once champion, 3rd wold best player, 3 times African best player, best foreign player in Italy, etc. Abedi scored 33 goals in just over 70 caps for ghana for the midfield position. How many goals did okocha even scored in his entire career beside his clownish on the pitch

He combines speed in attack , good at scoring from set pieces, good fighting spirit, win laurels, played mostly in teams that were not endowed with gifted players and yet still made impact. Abedi Pele made impact in Ghana,Africa,European leagues(French,Italian,Benin ,Cameroun etc),UEFA Champions League. He made his effort count for his national team for a long period that is since early 1980s till 1998, that is a real star as stars shines for a long period with Senior National team. No privilege of playing for junior side to be groomed or opportunity for child's play.Just started playing with adults, true stars are born, natural talented. He does midfield work and attacks as well. He is a workaholic, never gets tired. He scored a goal in the first ever organized Africa 11 vrs Europe 11 . The only disadvantage he stands was that he never played at a World Cup tournament,the true world festival of great countries of football and talents
Okocha dribbles with delight,however does not help with quick team effort of attacking opponents. Okocha played for Nigeria Youth Team in 1980s at World Under 20 tournament and later at 2 or 3 World Cups(1994 ,1998, ?2002). May be not gifted with scoring,which is very essential in recognition in football,a bit lucky at times as he was luckier to have worked in a generation where Rashidi Yekini,the most prolific Nigerian striker played . That alone can help raise his image and recognition. The influence of Okocha was in Cup of Nations held in 1990s till 2002

It has nothing to do with who won more African Player of the Year titles. That is cheap stuff. Even Adebayor won that, whereas Michael Essien didn't. Does that mean Adebayor was a better player than Essien? Your guess is as good as mine.
