When Benard questioned Mr President Nana Addo about the borrowing spree his new govt has engaged the Chinese $19 billion leverage wasdn't mentioned.The important point is that the President Nana Addo couldn't respond as it should.The question obliged the President to take shelter from Bawumia.Unfortunately,this has betrayed the President's ignorance on some of these borrowing.It could be also a strategy for the president to escape his campaign promise of not going to borrow.Infact all along the line the President couldn't explain to Ghanaians why his govt should go and borrow $19 billion from China.Nana Addo cleverly hinted us about only $2 billion loan from China for AGI.This should tell you that he knows everything about the $19 billion loan but was too scared to address it.As a matter of fact,I was disappoited by our journalists of whom none could ask about the weakness of the cedi against the hard currencies on daily basis.If your currency is very weak so is your economy and govt.Thank you.
