Without any intention of insulting Northerners, in many parts of Ashanti, it's not common for a parent to give his daughter's hand in marriage to a Northerner. That's the reality. Of course in every tribe there are ladies of the night. Therefore, it shouldn't come as a surprise, if such ladies mate with every man regardless of his origin. Offspring may emerge from such encounters. However, it's the height of incredulity, to assert that in a populous tribe like Asante, people owe their good looks to minority ethnic groups - who are not sought after, anyway.

This is why literacy level in Ghana rose leading to many even getting free University entry. Have you travelled to Finland , Sweden or even U.K you will know the investment the Government is making for education of early years.If Ghana also invest heavily in early years education programme for all children we would have quality children giving them a head start in life.

If government provides you with free community day SHS and you decide to send your child to far away prempeh college in kumasi, Wesley Girls and holy child in Cape Coast or Legon Presec in Accra, all for boarding you must be prepared to pay. This is what obtains even in the United States. Government does not pay for boarding schools. As a result only elites children attend boarding schools.
