It will be helpful if the new government makes all information on these debts public. Interested members of the public can then make their own assessments. By so doing it also establishes a precedence so that future governments will similarly publish the financial dealings of their predecessor governments. Everything is opaque to the Ghanaian citizenry, though foreign governments know all there is to know.
