It actually had the exact opposite effect, as she felt it gave her the unbridled authority to get her unfortunate agenda, of ensuring the coronation of the most unelectable incumbent Presidential candidate in over half a century of this country's existence.
Not even judgments and interpretations from the highest court of the land, would make Charlotte Osei budge. It is not surprising her NDC party showed their hand, claiming it was a witch hunt, when everything pointed to the fact that, in her quest to fulfill her unholy agenda, she had messed up so terribly and it had now caught up with her. Her disgrace became complete when she finally had to capitulate, knuckle under when the verdict of the masses could not be flipped whichever way she tried.

Charlotte Osei is a total flop as head of the EC. The controversies started way back in 2016, not very long after she'd been appointed to that position by John Mahama, the ex-Prez. Feeling secured with Mahama as Prez, she started firing some workers at the EC, she transferred away from Accra and chased others out. Everyone she perceived not be NDC sympathizer became a target. Forgetting sooner that she met experienced and long-serving executives at the Commission, she started throwing her weight around thus incurring the wrath of her immediate deputies, Amadu Sulley and Georgina Amankwaa, whom she's was supposed to have harmonious working relationships.

I sincerely believe that H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo should push for a review of the constitution which mandates the office of the President to appoint the EC boss. I also believe that the position of the EC shouldn't be a permanent appointment, but rather terminal and by voting or public conscientious to avoid any bias at the Commission esp. to allow for a free and fair elections in Ghana.

She is arrogant, rude, disrespectful even to the Supreme Court, egoistic, incompetent and impervious to any reason and plain common sense. Certainly, she cannot claim to be wiser than close to twenty five million Ghanaians?
She was a complete misfit at the NCCE and she has proved beyond any reasonable doubt that the current position that was gifted to her is beyond her capabilities. The only way out for her is to step down immediately in order to save the EC from being dragged into further confusion, disrespect and disgrace. Are some of us being made to believe now that Ken Agyapang's assertion that she got her position through some unmentionable shenanigans is true to the letter? Morally unfit to head such an important entity like the EC her background should have been thoroughly checked first. Dr Afari Gyan left with his head held high but this Charlotte lady has, within a very short time, left many of us to start scratching our heads and wracking our brains in search of answers as to what Ghanaians gave done to deserve this.Is she a bona fine Ghanaian at all to be entrusted with such a nationally-sensitive position?
