  The petitioners came out to disclose happenings in the commission. Charlotte osei, the head of the commission, responded by saying all that the petitioners had raised were true: just that she was not the real culprit, but rather her rude and incompetent deputies.
  However we take it, there is real rot at the commission, and the final person to be held responsible for the rot is the chairperson of the commission. Knowing all too well that her time is up, the chairperson also decided that if she is to go, she will not go all alone, but will bring along everyone else. She did not try for once to belie the accusations brought against her: she rather was saying: "Look, all the accusations are true, but ask the deputies whom Mahama gave me to work with!"
  In a way, it was all the fault of president Mahama. When Afari Gyan was leaving, Mahama should have appointed one of the deputy commissioners to take charge, at least for the next elections - 2016. If after the elections it was found out that the person who was entrusted with the exercise was inept, then a substantive chair could have been considered to take over.
  On the other hand, president Mahama should have realised that leaving the two experienced deputies at post and bringing in an inexperienced person like Charlotte to lord herself over the deputies was surely a disaster in the making! The two deputies should have been moved from the commission if they were found not fit enough to assume the chair. However, president Mahama and his advisers only saw Charlotte as the one they could manipulate to rig the impending elections in their favour. Being a woman, she could be allowed some lee-way, by the public, to make mistakes; in the same way, Mahama and his crooks could easily influence her. A typical example is the way she handled the declaration of the 2016 results. She waited 48 good hours after the close of polls to declare any result - with the excuse that the law gave her 72 hours within which to operate. She did not even realise that because of the tensions, in the country, over the elections, nothing stopped her from giving progress reports on the collation of results. In the long run, she forgot that it was the duty of the commission she was heading to confirm the final collations coming from the constituencies. In fact, the commission never officially announced any consituency or regional results.
  We were all fortunate the opposition NPP had learned from their mistakes of previous elections and set up their own super-collation system that fed the whole ountry with the most reliable up-to-date information on the elections. It was only long after the nation had been rescued from imminent danger by NASA's Anochie Brains that Charlotte came out to disgracefully declare that her own bogus non-existent collation system had been hacked into! Meanwhile, she had spent the country's scarce resources on something like the "We saw it, we liked it, so we picked it" scribble of a logo which she touted as a means of rebranding the commission for effeciency!
  We can never get to the bottom of the mess this infantile Charlotte has caused the nation, thanks to the incompetence of Mahama. It is time to reclaim the integrity of the commission. Charlotte must surely move on. The deputies cannot be trusted to take over, and must also be moved on. The time is right to find a more mature person to oversee events about our electioneering processes. We must not make another mistake. To hell with the NDC vagabonds and their nonsensical threats. Ghana must move forward. The NDC can stay behind and perish in their folly. Ghana first!!
