The harm is already done. Each party has accused the other of crimes and we have to conduct a criminal investigation on all of them.

Mr Addai Nimoh, a former Mampong Asante MP and who contested the NPP Presidential primaries in the 2016 elections is courting trouble where there is no trouble and thereby looking laughably funny in his 11th July 2017, recent remarks about President Akufo Ado wanting to give him appointment and he, (Addai) saving the President from acting wrongfully without recourse to the law.
Addai Nimoh indicated that -‘’---- Akufo Addo offered him the position of Administrator of the Road Fund but I quickly reminded the president that Road Fund is not like District Assemblies Common Fund where he can appoint Administrator---‘’ indicating also that with the Road Fund, provisions are made for the Chief Director of the Ministry of Roads And Highways to directly manage the funds.
Further, he told reporters that the president agreed to look for another job for him and which has not materialised.
In the first place, assuming he was saying the truth, Hon Addai Nimo acted dishonourably like an illiterate and in very bad faith for disclosing a private dialogue he had with the President to the public. Ghana can do better without such politicians who don’t know when to shut up.
What exactly did Nimoh try to achieve by such mischievous pronouncements which was a clear attempt to denigrate and run down the President? Addai Nimoh has put himself in a position whereby he can be labelled as not trustworthy.
More significantly and in the second place, Addai Nimoh exposed himself as a blatant ignoramus and liar.
A check on the Road fund Act 536 of 1997 which was reviewed recently by Mahama administration provides that the Fund Board Chairman be the Minister of Roads and Highways or his representative. Other members are institutionalised representatives from Ministries of Finance, Local Government, Transport, Energy and Association of Road contractors, Private Transport Unions etc.
The President could have easily appointed him as the Chairman to manage and administer the Board and it was perfectly within the law, Act 536. So what did Addai Nimoh mean by saying the President by appointing him would have violated the stipulations?
What does he know about the law which Akufo Addo who was the former Attorney General did not know?
Addai Nimo was clearly confused about the general meaning of the word "Administrator " which the President might have used in their two-man conversation. Generally, the Board Chairman can be referred to as Administrator, Administrator General, Officer -in- Charge, Head, Director etc and narrow minded Addai Nimo mixed it up with the Administrator of District Assemblies Fund concept to confuse issues.
Somebody must tell Addai Nimo that his posture on this matter was childish, dubious and treacherous.
