The Board of the Volta River Authority at an Extraordinary Meeting, appointed Mr. Joshua Ernest Kofi Ofedie as Chief Executive of the Volta River Authority (VRA) with effect from April 1,2004.
Mr. Ofedie was born on March 7,1953 and holds a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Statistics and Mathematics from the University of Ghana; MBA (1984) Corporate Finance/Business Administration, University of Ghana; and MPA (1989) Public Finance, Applied/Macro Economics, Harvard University Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Mr. Ofedie joined the VRA in 1980 as a Finance Trainee. Prior to his appointment, he was the AG.Deputy Chief Executive (Finance and Investments) of the Volta River Authority.
He is married with three (3) children.
