Ghanaian starlet John Kofi Essel has been training with the first team of Serie A side Chievo Verona for the past months.
The 18-year, who once trained with Inter Milan, is said to be making tremendous progress.
Essel is a combative midfielder with the qualities of legend Michael Essien and his prospects of a great career are now manifesting after Chievo Verona took him for trials.
He joined the Primavera side in November but was invited to train with the senior team just a week into the trials due to his 'high quality'.
GHANASoccernet understands he is one of the many youngsters managed by renowned players' agent Oliver Arthur and his ArthurLegacy company.
Essel had an excellent trial at Serie A giants Inter Milan last year and was due to be registered but the management crisis and change of ownership collapsed the deal.
He was scouted from school football and taking straight to Italy by the ArthurLegacy boss.
