Public Relations Officer for Hearts of Oak SC Opare Addo has waded into the ongoing speculations that former defender Vincent Atinga will complete a move to archrivals Asante Kotoko.
It has been speculated that the robust defender has reached an agreement with the Porcupine Warriors and he is set to play for the Kumasi-based side.
Atinga will join Asante Kotoko as a free agent as he is currently not tied to any team if the deal sails through.
He refused to extend his contract with the ‘glorious’ Hearts of Oak at the end of the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League season.
Speaking to Frank Osei-wusu on Onua FM, Opare Addo said the player is free to join any team of his choice.
“Vincent Atinga can go to any team he wants. He is a player on his own. Hearts of Oak does not have any contract with him. He has a floating status.”
The defender traveled to Malaysia to sign for a club but the deal fell through.
