Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has been named in Athletico Madrid's squad for the Europa Cup match against Russian side Locomotiv Moscow.
The La Liga side travel to Russia without strikers Diego Costa and Kevin Gameiro. However, Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey made the trip following his impressive performances this season.
The Black Stars midfielder has been a key member of Coach Diego Simeone's side this season and was awarded a new contract that will see him stay with La Rojiblancos until 2023.
Meanwhile, Costa, who joined from Chelsea in January, is suffering from bruising, while the French striker- Kevin Gameiro has a muscle injury in his thigh and neither player has been included in Diego Simeone's squad list.
One player who is on the list, though, is Jan Oblak, despite his own recent injury issues. Fellow goalkeepers Axel Werner and Miguel San Roman are also included in the 20-man list, just in case Oblak cannot take part in the end.
The full squad list is as follows: Jan Oblak, Axel Werner, Miguel San Roman, Diego Godin, Filipe Luis, Sime Vrsaljko, Lucas Hernandez, Juanfran, Jose Maria Gimenez, Sergi Gonzalez, Thomas Partey, Koke, Saul, Gabi, Vitolo, Juan Moreno, Roberto Olabe, Antoine Griezmann, Fernando Torres, Angel Correa.
