Ghanaian forward Kevin Prince Boateng is lamenting over Frankfurt's defeat to Burrossia Dortmund over the weekend in the Bundesliga.
The former Dortmund forward saw his new side Frankfurt suffer a painful defeat to the yellow and blacks over the weekend and thought they deserved more from the game.
“We lost today because Dortmund scored one more goal than we did. It was a superb match that ebbed and flowed from one end to the other,” he told eintracht.de.
“We put everything into the game and the players deserve huge credit. Maybe we’re at fault for wanting to win the game.
“We made too many mistakes in the build-up to their third goal, but we’re a close-knit group. We play as a team and lose as a team.”
Michy Batshuayi struck twice late on in a dramatic 3-2 home win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday evening.
Frankfurt defender Marco Russ scored an own goal before Jovic leveled for the Reds. However, Chelsea loanee Mitchy Batshuayi scored in the 77th minute to but Dortmund in the lead.
Meanwhile, Blum, Frankfurt's forward taught he had stole a point for his side before Batshuayi punished them with a last minute goal.
K.P Boateng played the entire game.
