A group calling itself, Crusaders have called on the government to as a matter of urgency to reinstate the Headmaster of Tempane Senior High School in the Tempane District of the Upper East Region over Joshua Akamba's 'inciting' video.

A viral video capturing Mr Akamba inciting some students at Tempane High School, against the president has generated mixed reactions. The video saw the politician describe as despicable what he saw at the school. He was slammed and asked to apologise but he refused saying: "Did you see the skins of the students? It’s such a shame.

Mr Akamaba was heard telling students of Tempane Senior High School in the Upper East Region that president Nana Akufo-Addo and the government must be blamed for bed bug attacks in their school.

He made the students show their bedbug bite scars to the cameras, promising them their headache will be over by 2020 if they vote out the NPP.

He was also seen encouraging the students to reject President Akufo-Addo as he is the cause of their predicament.

Even animals are not treated the way these students are being treated. Some of the students were chasing me and crying asking for just GHC1 to buy food.

As a result, the headmaster of the Tempane SHS, Dominic Ndegu Amolale has been suspended by the Ghana Education Service (GES).

Ndegu Amolale received his suspension letter Saturday morning with an instruction to handover the management of the school to Upper East Regional GES Director to allow for investigations into the incident.

But in a statement issued by the group and copied to GhanaWeb indicated "We are not happy as crusaders and we wish to register our displeasure since we can say the action of government is politically motivated and the headmaster has been unjustly treated".

The statement revealed, "We wish to also state on record that, as at the time of Captain Akamba's interaction with the students, the headmaster was on an official assignment somewhere, so the question we ask ourselves is how could he have served as a watch dog over the students".

The statement said "There were similar instances of what happened at Tempani SHS involving some leading members of the NPP ,then in opposition durning the John Mahama led administration yet we never saw this harsh suspension. Was Dr Bawumia campaigning in a farm or forest?"

The Crusaders are therefore calling on the government to reinstate the Headmaster immediately and they stated that the Headmaster has done nothing wrong.

PRESS RELEASE BY THE CRUSADERS ON MATTERS ARISING FROM TEMPANI SHS REINSTATE THE HEADMASTER NOW

Greetings from the Crusaders.....

We are indeed saddened by the recent turn of events as a result of Captain Akamba, NDC National Organiser Aspirant interaction with the students of Tempani Senior High School.

We are of the view that, Akamba's interaction with the students has no link with the headmaster and that is why we are calling on government to reinstate the headmaster because, it was not the fault of the headmaster that brought about the interaction. In the first place, there was no official documentation by Captain Akamba to the school that saw the approval of the headmaster, so how come the government is calling for the head of the headmaster of the school.

We are not happy as crusaders and we wish to register our displeasure since we can say the action of government is politically motivated and the headmaster has been unjustly treated.

We wish to also state on record that, as at the time of Captain Akamba's interaction with the students, the headmaster was on an official assignment somewhere, so the question we ask ourselves is how could he have served as a watch dog over the students.

There were similar instances of what happened at Tempani SHS involving some leading members of the NPP ,then in opposition durning the John Mahama led administration yet we never saw this harsh suspension.

Was Dr Bawumia campaigning in a farm or forest?

Dr Bawumia and the current Local government minister in 2016 went to Nalerigu SHS campaigning seriously.

What is happening in Ghana? Are the supporters of NPP more citizens than those belonging to the other parties?

When will you people, the elephants stop thinking that you are more human than everybody?

We have also seen videos currently in circulation, that saw late Veep Alhaji Aliu Mahama ,Hon Solomon Bor and His excellency, the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia interacting with basic school children in the northern region telling them to send some sort of information to their parents to vote for then NPP Presidential candidate, Nana Akuffo Addo.

Were they not inciting the minors against John Mahama government and why was the headmaster of that school not suspended by the NDC government.

You see. There is a saying that ,"If you don't cook bad soup ,then your ears should not be outside when men are sitting together to discuss very important issues". The current government can relate very well.

Crusaders are not really happy about the headmaster's suspension in the sense that, he has been unjustly judged and must be reinstated now.

In 2015 ,When NPP was demonstrating on a purported economic hardships, they used some students for the demonstration and those were not even in senior high school but rather basic school children who have no voting rights.

We want to say categorically clear that ,if government really wants justice and claim not to be acting using political lenses, then the headmaster must be reinstated now, so that they can go for Captain Akamba using legal procedures or else we shall continue to add our voice till government listen to us.

So Dr Bawumia in opposition has the right to visit schools and take Mischievous pictures but today NDC member in that same opposition has no right to visit any school in Ghana? What a selective vindictiveness.

We wish to end now and hoping our release will get to Mr. President for a swift response by reinstating the headmaster of Tempani Senior High School for him to continue the good works he started long ago before now.

Signed!

Jambeidu Sadat

The leader of the Crusaders
